About the Centennial Airport Runway 5K
Runners and walkers from all over the nation will cover the 5K course on a real Runway and Taxiway at one of the busiest general aviation airports in the world in support of the Centennial Airport Foundation, our non-profit organization created to support the advancement of aviation through scholarships and awards. Then stick around after the race to enjoy post-race festivities.

A designated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to support the advancement of aviation through a variety of educational scholarships and aviation centered awards. Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of aviation and aeronautical professionals, as well as increase public awareness of the industry’s many contributions to Colorado.
Funds raised through the Runway 5K directly support this mission.

Thanks to the many Foundation donors, and sponsors of the annual Centennial Airport Runway 5K community event and fundraiser, the Foundation can continue its ongoing support to existing aviation and education organizations, and now offer its own aviation scholarships. Our Scholarship Program awards three annual scholarships in the following categories:
- Aviation Management
- Professional Pilot
- Aircraft Maintenance / A&P Mechanic
